This adorable package came to the door, and all the dogs in the house freaked out. Milo loves to sit at the bar stools and see what is high up, so I put the box up there and showed him. 🙂
Introducing… Paw Bundle!
Paw Bundle is the first monthly supplement box for dogs. I’m sure you have heard of other monthly subscription boxes, but this is something special. You can either choose to order a Paw Bundle Mini, which is just supplements, or a regular Paw Bundle which includes toys and goodies! That is the box we are showing you today…
The first thing that I want to take note on is the packaging… I’m a sucker for cute design and it made ME feel like I was opening a present, even though it was for my dogs. What was inside? I had no idea…
How fun!! This one was Halloween themed. The toys’ were a HIT! The supplements were awesome. The box included: 2 full size toys, 2 bags of Hip and Joint treats (decent sized – lasting a while in our house!!), probiotics, and a finger tooth brush.
I was honestly surprised at everything they fit in the box! Milo favored the bat toy…
Perfect size for his mouth! Milo loved the Hip and Joint treats as well. I think it’s great to give your dogs treats to support their aging bones. Not to mention a healthy snack!
He took it right out of my hand. I was thinking the treats would be soft, but it was a nice crunch he enjoyed!
This is the perfect gift for your pup year round, but especially for Christmas time!! They will be having Black Friday and Cyber Monday specials running soon, keep an eye on their website HERE to snag those deals.
In the end, we were very impressed and would LOVE to receive these monthly!! What a fun box that is not only fun, but good for your dog.

As you know, I have pets in the house. Not only dogs, but a rabbit too! What comes with animals is, well, accidents. Not always, but sometimes! Mistakes happen!
While Miss Addison has been learning to use her litter box, we have had a couple accidents. I was so excited that I got in touch with Stuart Pet Supply at the right time! I read about their stain and oder eliminator and I was sold.
This works for dogs, cats, and YES – bunnies! With bunnies, you have to be very careful what cleaning products you use. They are very sensitive to chemicals and bleaches. There is none of that scary stuff in here! This baby is enzyme activated, as quoted from the product bio: “This means that bio-enzymatic bacteria are activated on contact with stains and odors, feeding on the ammonia crystals and organic matter until completely eliminated.” – Heck, yes!! Sign me up!
Let’s Put It to the Test!
The perfect test subject!!
The instructions say to first soak up what you can with a paper towel. As we did that, Addison came to investigate what was going on. She said she was sorry.
Next, we saturate the area with the Stuart Pet Supply Stain & Odor Eliminator! A little goes a long way.
Then it says to apply a towel over the affected area and put a weighted object onto to really soak in. The nearest weighted object for me was this candle, it did the job just fine! 🙂
I waited a couple of minutes, I don’t think there is a set time. Obviously, the more to clean up the longer I would let it sit.
After it’s done sitting, I scrubbed it with the towel, and it was gone!! Just like magic. No fuss, no muss. The instructions say to vacuum and let dry, but it blended in so well without even vacuuming the area that I just let it be.
Here is the whole area… try to find where the bunny gift was!
This image hasn’t been TOUCHED!! I was thoroughly impressed. I can’t tell you how much these means to me as a dog mom to find a deep cleaning mess remover that ISN’T bad for my dogs to be around, or my bunny. There are no harsh ingredients in here whatsoever. It’s a guilt free clean up.
There was no sticky feeling after, no residue, just carpet. Wow, guys. Really!
I love finding natural dog products for you guys that are SAFE and EFFECTIVE, because that is truly hard to come by. I give these guys 2 paws up!
You can buy the Stuart Pet Supply Stain and Odor Eliminator on Amazon (yes, with Prime!), as simple as 1, 2, 3. Just go HERE!
There is a no risk guarantee, if you happen to not like it, you can return it and get your money back 100%. How often is that the case? Never. Never ever.
Give them a try, and let me know what you think! 🙂

I am so excited to share with you another great discovery. Anicura is a line of pet grooming products (cats AND dogs) based in the UK! They are loved and adored in that country, that they decided to try their hand in the US via Amazon. We were so excited to try them out. Ordering from Amazon was a breeze, and it came promptly.
Anicura is all natural (no, really!!). They were founded in 2011, and have/never will use harsh chemicals in their products. Their belief is that if YOU, the owner, can’t safely use this products – neither should your pet.
In the past I have used Benji or Milo as a model, but this line of grooming products is extra helpful for dogs with itchy or dry skin. For this reason, I went to my mother and asked if I could use her King Charles Spaniel, Pippa, as our model. This would be the only way I could get accurate results!
We started off with the Anicura Natural Dog Shampoo for Skin Allergies. This product is filled with Omega’s for a luscious coat, no “nasties” that strip the skin of their natural oils (and cause flakiness), and it contains pure oils that contribute to the wonderful smell!
“Smells so good, I could almost eat it!!”
After rinsing out the shampoo, it was time to condition with the Anicura Deep Nourishing Conditioner.
By this point, Pippa was ready to go, but the essential oils in the products kept her calm and relaxed. 🙂
The conditioner was very nice, it seems to soak into her coat almost instantly to condition. Also filled with Omegas, this conditioner has no parabens or artificial ingredients normally used to create a “lather”. This lathered just fine without it!
Next, we applied the Anicura Natural Dog Gel Ointment, which is used for itchy skin, hot spots, or wounds. We applied just a little to her back where she gets the itchiest. She almost instantly relaxed!
This too smelled wonderful, and a little goes a long way! Then we did a small spritz of the Anicura Natural Spray for Dogs with Skin Allergies (including Eczema, Hot Spots, ect.) as well as a small squirt of the Anicura Natural Flea and Tick Spray.
All in all, everything smelled nice and felt great for miss Pippa. She wasn’t as sad as she normally is for bath time, she definitely seemed more relaxed and at ease. It’s so nice to have products out there that don’t strip dogs of their natural oils and contribute to flakiness and itching!
You can check them out by clicking HERE!
Does your dog like having baths?
Let me know in the comments below!
We are excited to finally reveal the boys’ Halloween costumes! Benji is a Ewok from Star Wars (I get told that he looks like one all the time – I take it as a compliment. haha!) Milo is a beautiful butterfly. Boys’ can be butterflies too!
Honestly, he just has that type of personality, so I thought it fit him well. I think he looks pretty cute.
Happy (early – as I post this) Halloween to you and your pups! I hope it’s filled with dog safe treats and activities. Make sure to take lots of photos and tag me on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. I wanna see those costumes. 🙂
Now Onto the #ChewyInfluencer Review…
As you probably know, we are a part of the Chewy Influencer program, so we got to try out this goody in exchange for our honest review. Today we will be reviewing the Weruva Pumpkin Puree for Dogs + Cats!
First impressions? Adorable packing. Perfect for Fall, but did you know pumpkin is actually great for dogs… year round? Yep. Pumpkin is full of fiber to keep your pup (or cats) GI system working properly and the stool healthy. When my dogs are having stool issues, I always add pumpkin!
Not only is it good for them when they are having GI issues, they love the taste! It’s not yucky medicine that has more side effects than it should, or a bitter taste. It’s natural, it’s real, and in my experience – it works.
These come in easy to use servings. The directions say to make this 10% of your pets diet. For this, I eyeball it… maybe 5% in the morning, 5% in the evening, or all 10% in one meal. It’s up to you!
You can buy this pumpkin puree on Chewy.com for only $7.44! It’s a great deal, and it came with a good amount of pouches. Whatever you don’t use in the pouch, you can save in the fridge for later! I’m honestly pleased with this product.
Again, we wish you a great holiday with your fur babies!! Do you have any plans? Let us know in the comments below. 🙂

I know what you are thinking. This has been drilled into our brains from the first visit to the vet. “Get your dog neutered/spayed NOW!” “The risk for cancer is high if you don’t.” “She could get pregnant…”
Yes, the possibility of pregnancy can happen if you are not responsible, but did you know that there is just as much a risk for cancer and other side effects when you spay your dog? Actually, there are a ton of reasons NOT to spay your dog at all, especially when 6 months or younger, as most vets do.
Dr. Becker, the top holistic veterinarian in the country, believes in sterilization, but that’s a whole other topic. For this article, I want to talk about the reasons you don’t want to spay, or at least wait until your female is older, and how to keep the dog population under control safely.
Speaking of Dr. Becker, she actually wrote a wonderful article on the damaging effects of neutering/spaying your dogs. As stated from her article…
“The researchers looked at the health records of 759 Golden Retrievers. Goldens were chosen because they are one of the most popular breeds in the U.S. and Europe, are often used as service dogs, and are also susceptible to various cancers and joint disorders.
The intent of the study was to investigate the effects of neutering on the risks of several diseases in a single breed of dog, distinguishing between males and females, and between dogs that had been neutered or spayed early (before one year), late (after one year), or not at all.
The dogs ranged in age from 1 to 8 years and had been seen at the UC Davis William R. Pritchard Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital for one or more of the following problems:
- Hip dysplasia (HD)
- Lymphosarcoma (LSA)
- Hemangiosarcoma (HSA)
- Mast cell tumor (MCT)
The researchers focused on joint disorders and cancers because desexing removes the testes or ovaries and disrupts production of hormones that play an important role in body processes like bone growth plate closure.
Study results indicated that for all five diseases, the rates were significantly higher in both males and females that were neutered or spayed (before or after one year of age) compared with intact dogs.”
We can’t ignore these facts. It’s definitely something to consider. So, what do you do if you decide to postpone spaying your female dog? How do you make sure she isn’t pregnant. You can’t possibly hide her away from the world because she goes in heat!
Thankfully, PABS “Delay her Spay” was invented. PABS stands for:
This product is incredible. It is known as the “chastity belt” as it protects her “girly areas” and it allows your female dog to still be around male dogs while in heat! It came pretty much assembled, we just had to get her to step into it and buckle her up. This shouldn’t have to be removed except for bedtime, as it doesn’t block her from going #2. The straps keep everything in place, and buckle around her neck for security.
It took us a second to figure out what all the buckles were for, but we got it. If you get confused, look at the instructions that were provided. 🙂 Here is a sample:
The relief of not having a pregnant female and a whole litter adding to the ever growing population of homeless dogs is a huge weight off of every consumer’s shoulders.
Another plus – it comes with a pad in the back area! This saves your furniture, and the mess that comes with having a girl in heat. The pads are replaceable, and can be ordered online.
I had the pleasure to speak with Dexter Branch, who is the President of the company, Highly Favored Creations, LLC. He was so passionate about this product, and it was a breath of fresh air to speak to so involved in their customers and wanting to create such a special product tailored to the customers needs.
Have a problem? Just let them know! Have a question? Just ask! Their customer service is top notch, and they are there to help you every step of the way.
My parent’s Goldendoodle puppy is only 8 months old, if you can believe it. She was the model for this product (because, obviously, Benji & Milo are boys), and she was so patient. She’s already almost 70lbs, so I tried out the X-Large size on her. It fit well, and still had some room to grow!
The design is nice, and the fabric doesn’t feel cheap. Sadie gave it two paws up. Once we were done putting it on, she didn’t even notice it!
It’s important to know that there are other options out there so you are able to “delay her spay” safely, and efficiently.

I cannot tell you how absolutely excited I am to be sharing Darwin’s Pet Food with you guys! It’s a genuine love that boils deep in my soul. Does that sound dramatic? Maybe. But it’s true.
It’s my goal as a holistic dog blogger to share the best pet foods on the market with you guys. I’ve gone over the different options such as home cooked vs. raw that you can check out, but you all know I am definitely a fan of raw for many reasons! It truly changed my Benji’s life.
I’ve been using Darwin’s Pet Food for many months now, long before they asked me to review the food on my blog. I couldn’t be more thrilled to promote this product!
“It came mom!!”
Why Raw Food?
I’ve gone over why raw food is beneficial to pets, which you can find in the Raw Feeding Information section of the blog. But, as a summary…
- Raw meat contains all the essential nutrients that get cooked out of commercial dry/canned foods.
- No fillers, you are getting everything straight from the source. Remember, dogs are only genetically different to wolves by a small percentage. Their bodies are MADE to eat raw. They have enough digestive enzymes to digest raw meat, unlike humans.
- Healthier coats
- Less bowel movements, but healthier ones
- Darwin’s Pet Food is one of the only pre-made raw food companies on the market, but it is by far the best. Their customer service is top notch, and the product quality is there. Darwin’s uses only the best quality meats and vegetables, no additives or by products.
As quoted from their website, “Our meals are the freshest possible, formulated to meet or exceed AAFCO nutritional guidelines.”
- You get the benefit of feeding raw without the clean up or balancing. Making sure your pet’s “home made” meals are balanced properly is such a big deal. You can’t just give your dog a raw chicken leg and call it a day! Darwin’s does all the work for you.
- They aren’t just for dogs – they offer cat food as well!
- They offer different options such as ZooLogics, Natural Selections, and Intelligent Design, which is a prescription meal service. Yes, raw can be tailored to your pets needs.
- You don’t have to get it all at once! You can save money and freezer space if you have a small dog by sectioning out your deliveries. Figure out how much you go through on a weekly basis and go from there. You can have shipments 6, 8, 10 weeks apart usually for a small dog or cat!
- Amazing customer service! If you have an issue with an order, you can call their number or send them an email and someone will be happy to assist you. I’ve had a few emergencies where I hadn’t ordered enough in a shipment, and they quickly sent me another order. I was so impressed.
Another thing I love is that they send you a container if your first order. This is what I use to thaw my Darwin’s that I will be using for the next day. I put the packages in the container frozen with water, and overnight they are thawed and ready to eat!
This is an example of the duck version that Benji eats. Benji can’t have chicken because of his allergies, and duck has been an amazing alternative. I understand that to many, this doesn’t look “pretty”, but to me I don’t mind because I know that THIS is giving my dog everything he needs.
“Okay, mom!! Put down the Darwin’s!!”
“NUM NUM NUM….”
“Let’s check each others bowls to make sure they are empty…”
Darwin’s Pet Food fits easy in your fridge and freezer. I section it off by flavor. I have a spot for Benji’s Duck and a spot for Milo’s Chicken!
You rip off the sections and it turns into small packets. 🙂 My boys get 3/4 of a small bag per meal. Those fit easily into the fridge as well!
Overall, I’ve had no complaints with Darwin’s. When Hurricane Irma hit, they emailed me and said that they were putting a hold on my account until I say otherwise so that I didn’t have a giant box of frozen raw food while I was out of power or waste food in delayed shipping that would arrive as spoiled meat! That was very considerate, and I’m so happy to be a customer of this company.
You can order Darwin’s by going on their website HERE.
We are so excited to share our thoughts on our overall experience on our first month with the homemade dog food, Nom Nom Now. If you haven’t seen our unboxing review or our mid month review, you can check those out now.
Let’s go over why we are loving them so far:
- They are never frozen – they are made just before shipping and this makes them guaranteed fresh! The only reason Nom Nom Now would be frozen is because YOU stick it in your freezer.
- All of their recipes are formulated by Dr. Justin Shmalberg, Board Certified Veterinary Nutritionist! This is a breath of fresh air, not having to worry about balancing meals, and knowing that everything put into this food was sourced from the US, and met to high standards.
- Their size!! Not only is their packaging super cute, but it’s convenient. Here’s why…
For this review, I wanted to show you how easy it was to organize and fit in your fridge. We shared a photo of Nom Nom Now in our freezer in our last post, and when we are prepping food for the next few days, we simply have to move it to the fridge! Voila!
You can see very clearly from these photos that they fit in the fridge perfectly…
They are so sleek, you can stack the packages on the shelves in the fridge or stick them to the side! Whatever works for you and your fridge space. It seems there is nowhere that Nom Nom Now can’t fit!
And again, if you need any more convincing on why you need Nom Nom Now, just see how the boys’ react!
“Who wants their Nom Nom Now?”
The verdict: this brand is top notch. Their ingredients are human grade, their meals are balanced, perfectly portioned specifically to my dogs. I don’t have to worry about portioning for their weight, or even leaving my house to get dog food! When you are busy enough, this brand has your back.
They deliver this food right to my door, and I put everything in the freezer except for the food I’m going to need for the next few days and take out as needed. I stick what I will be using in my fridge, and don’t have to worry a bit about making room. This makes feeding your dogs a homemade, nutritionally balanced diet a breeze and there is no excuse not to! We can’t afford not to!
Nutrition truly plays such a big part in the health of our dogs, and Nom Nom Now is convenient and easy. They take the work out of a homemade diet, and for that, I am thankful.
Nom Nom Now = 4 paws up + 2 thumbs from momma!

*This post is sponsored by iHerb.com, where you can get all the pet supplements and treats your heart desires.
So, what the heck is iHerb and what do they do?
Let me start by saying how much I LOVE this website. iHerb is like the Target of your pet supplements needs (and your own – honestly!) iHerb has been carrying the highest quality natural products since 1996, and they know how to do it right! iHerb carries over 200 Pet Products for both Cats and Dogs and can be shipped to over 160 countries!
The purchasing experience was very easy. They even have an app for your iPhone! I was able to type in the type of products I wanted, and I was given a whole selection of things that fit my needs such as Turmeric Treats (which we will talk more about in a minute).
iHerb products are perfectly priced, and shipping is either non-expensive or better yet – free! Their customer service is 24/7, so if you come across any issues you need not worry. Not to mention that they can provide support in 10 different languages! iHerb is also a Google Trusted Store, so you can tell that they really care about their customers, and it shows!
Their warehouse has a Good Manufacturing Practice certification, which you won’t come across easily, and is air conditioned and monitored so that the quality of their products stays in pristine condition.
Guess what else? Their website states: “iHerb uses 100% post-consumer recycled paper for 90% of all shipping boxes.”
So not only are you doing good for yourself and your pets, but the planet too. 🙂 Stay tuned until the end for a special discount link.
Now, let’s get to the products…
I saw this on the iHerb website, and fell in love. The Beco Bowl sounded too good to be true. Perfect for dogs or cats alike these bowls were made from waste plant fibres found in bamboo and rice husks! How cool is that? These bowls are tough and durable, machine washable, and biodegradable when finished with their use.
I’m going to tie this in with my next product…
Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil by PetNC
If you want your dog to have great skin and a good quality coat, this Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil is a must! It’s rich in Omega-3’s and natural EPA’s. Omega-3’s are also known to help with joint health in dogs.
I added some of the oil into the boy’s food and off to the races they went!
They loved the taste! No issues at all. It just melted right into their dinner. No one even blinked!
Turmeric Curcumin Bites by Zesty Paws
I know what you are thinking… what is turmeric and why do I need this?
This specific treat is called Turmeric Curcumin Bites!
Turmeric is an herb in the ginger family that is known to help with joint pain and health. It’s a must in my opinion for large breed dogs, but even small breeds can benefit. This particular supplement is in a treat form and also contains Curcumin (for joint and digestive support) and Coconut Oil (already obsessed with – for weight control, joint health, energy levels).
But would the boys LIKE this treat? The answer is…
Yes!! This will be given daily.
Neem “Protect” Spray by Ark Naturals
I was pleasantly surprised by the smell of the Neem “Protect” Spray.
What does it do? It naturally reduces itching caused by flea and tick bites. You can get rid of the fleas and ticks, but they leave a lasting itch on your pets, even after they are gone. My dogs get this problem sometimes with fleas if the weather isn’t on our side, regardless of treatment!
This spray contains Neem and Citronella which has been shown to have healing properties and relieve itching by soothing dermatitis caused by insect bites. I would assume this works for mosquitos as well.
The dog’s liked the smell as well! We give this two paws up. 🙂
Tear Stain Pads by PetNC
I was excited to try these Tear Stain Cleansing Pads because of Milo’s tear stains. He is cursed with his white coat that loves to show the eye drainage. He is healthy, but it’s part of his breed.
His eyes push up against the water line, which in turn pushes more liquid out of the tear ducts and under his eyes. It’s important to keep this area clean, and these pads are perfect!
Milo was such a trooper! These didn’t burn and he didn’t mind a bit. He wanted to wiggle and sniff the pads, but other than that – success.
These will take multiple uses over a few weeks to see if they really work, but so far I noticed that under his eyes was visibly lighter after wiping them off.
Raw Goat Milk Balm by Tierra Mia Organics
I saw this on the iHerb website, and freaked out. I had never heard of such a thing! My dogs LOVE to drink raw goat milk, but someone was genius enough to turn it into a pet balm to be used for dry skin, rashes, itchiness, and hot spots! The end result; The Gentle Pet Balm by Tierra Mia Organics.
Of course the benefits of goat’s milk extend to the skin for dogs! Why haven’t I tried this before?
For this product, I used Benji as my model. As most of you know, he suffers from allergies so I applied this to his feet. He was very tempted to lick, which is fine as it is not toxic, but you could tell it was soothing to his irritated feet.
Another good thing about this balm, a little goes a long way!
Nice Jerky by “I and Love and You.”
As someone who feeds raw/homemade meals, I’m always on the lookout for high quality treats for training or general praise. Benji can’t do the generic beef or chicken, so a nice quality protein such as Venison + Lamb featured in this Nice Jerky is perfect for him and Milo!
These treats are free of fillers; no corn, wheat, soy or rice. Animals were treated humanely and were free range + grass fed. The treats are USA made, but meat was sourced from New Zealand.
This company is a breath of fresh air because of how up front they are with the consumer! I know where it was made, and where it was sourced from just from the front of the bag.
What do the boy’s think?
Another success! Benji wanted to swallow it whole of course, but Milo took his time savoring each bite. Looks like a winner to me! We will definitely be getting these again from iHerb.
iHerb is a holistic dog mom’s dream! Even if you aren’t well versed on “natural” pet care products, there is a great description on every product and customer service is always willing to answer questions. If you are looking for good quality products at a great price, iHerb is where it is at!
And GUESS WHAT?

Until next time,
It’s September, so you know what that means… new #ChewyInfluencer goodies that need our taste testing! 🙂 The boy’s can’t wait for their new arrivals every month, and this one was extra special. One of my favorites yet, I would say.
Upon looking through the list of treats, this really stood out to me. The boy’s have tried Stella & Chewy’s freeze dried food before, especially when traveling and raw/homemade diets aren’t an option for lack of cooling space.
Stella & Chewys Carnivore Crunch: Duck Flavor
We are a big fan of duck in this house because of Benji’s allergies, so we are always stocking up on proteins such as this to use as treats.
I love the fact that these treats are used with CAGE FREE duck meat, as I believe all animals used for food should still be treated humanely. These treats are a great protein, low calorie snack, coming in at just 3 calories per treat! They are a great price as well: $9.99 for the whole bag.
They look a lot like the freeze dried meal mixers that Stella & Chewy’s carries…
Instead of adding water, as you should with their food options, these treats are meant to be crunched! For finicky eaters, these can also be crushed and sprinkled on top of food for added flavor.
Obviously, my dog’s do not have this problem. So they tried it whole!
All in all, a big fan of these treats. What a great reward for training, without all the carbs and fillers put into doggy biscuits these days.
You can buy these on Chewy.com! These are pretty addicting, so don’t say I didn’t warn you. 😉

SOUND OFF: What’s your dog’s favorite healthy snack? Tell me in the comments below…
I am thrilled to share an update since the boys’ have started Nom Nom Now dog food! We are in our mid-way mark since starting 2 weeks ago, and everything has been going great. I wanted to share some thoughts on how they are doing, any changes, and give you a glimpse.
As you can see from the photo above, the packaging is SO sleek, which I mentioned in our first review. Literally, this is just a section I portioned off in the basket that is part of my freezer. I can fit SO many bags in just this little space! That has been so convenient.
Nom Nom Now – Mid First Month
Something interesting to note – if you forget to thaw out a pack from the freezer the night before, you can put the pack in some water and it thaws right out! I had to do this the other day, and I was pleasantly surprised by how fast and easy it was. I know I’m not the only one that has run into this problem!
The boys transitioned seamlessly. It was super easy to follow, we went from the 25% packets to 50% to 75%, ect. Their stool was normal and no stomach upsets! Woot woot! It was so easy.
This might sound weird, but every time I get the food out – I always think of how pretty it looks! I’m always tempted to take a bite, and the great thing is, I know it IS good enough for me to eat. If someone dared me to eat dog food as a kid, I would have been disgusted. Now, I’d laugh in their faces. 😉
The left bowl has Milo’s Tasty Turkey Fare, and the right bowl has Benji’s Porkalicous Potluck!
Milo has had teeth issues in the past, he’s had to have some food extracted. I truly blame his kibble that he was on previously. People claim that kibble cleans their teeth because it’s “crunchy” but this is simply not the case, it is a marketing gimmick. Good quality food + bones for them to chew on = clean teeth!
I can always tell when his teeth looks good, he is eating well. He will always have those stains, but look how nice his teeth are looking! 🙂 I am very impressed.
Now, it was time for their meal! You can see how much they love it. Benji is hard to get a photo of while eating because his whole face is in the bowl! Little stink.
Of course Benji finished first, asking for more…
In contrast, Milo prefers to savor every last bite, but is also a messy eater. You can tell he really wants to get every morsel, though, which I appreciate!
All in all, our mid-way point is another two thumbs up.
I continue to be impressed with the company and the food. I received an email from customer service that same week after our first delivery arrived, asking how we liked the food! That really makes them stand out in my mind.
If there were any issues, I feel comfortable knowing I can contact them and that it would be resolved in a timely matter.

Woot woot! It’s treat time!! You know we love Chewy for treats and toys, it’s a dog’s shopping paradise. Chewy’s treats go great with their diet of Nom Nom Now homemade pup food.
We are excited to share these CANIDAE Life Stages Bakery Snacks with Lamb, Wild Rice & Sweet Potato Dog Treats, to give your dogs that extra crunch in their life.
Lamb is a great protein in a snack, I prefer it to beef. Not to mention Lamb is a meat that a lot of dogs aren’t allergic to – which Benji appreciates. Sweet potato is a great fiber source and is also low in fat. Wild Rice, which, according to some experts, is also good source of key nutrients and have valuable antioxidants not found in fruits and vegetables!
I do wish that they didn’t have to include chicken fat as stated on the back of the bag, since some dog’s are allergic to that specifically, but as Dr. Karen Backer states on her blog via HealthyPets (located on Mercola‘s website):
- “Chicken fat” is considered a reasonably high quality ingredient in pet food formulas, as are most named animal fats. Poultry fat, on the other hand, is an ingredient to stay away from.”
So, I very much appreciate that they use chicken fat and not just “poultry fat”, as that is not the same thing. This company does seem to be cautious of it’s ingredients in their pet treats and all ingredients are said to be sourced in the USA which is a breath of fresh air.
Another thing that I appreciate is that these are meant for all life stages and sizes. You can give them as a large sized bite for your large breeds, or easily break them in half for small guys like mine. 🙂
Let’s try it out!
Well… I think the photos speak for themselves. We give it two paws up!
You can check out these treats, for a cheap price might I add, at Chewy.com.
Benji couldn’t wait any longer!

4-Legger Dog Grooming Products
*Disclaimer: I received monetary compensation and/or product in exchange for my honest review. I value your trust, and only work with brands when I truly believe in their missions and ingredients. The opinions are myown, and always honest.
I am in love with this company. Is that possible? Yes it is.
If you guys are about natural pet products, like you know I am, you need to get your hands on these products ASAP. Did you know in human shampoo’s we have ingredients such as carcinogenic byproducts that actually contribute to organ toxicity, possible mutations and cancer. For more information on that, you can read an article by Dr. Mercola HERE.
The sad truth is, the same ingredients fall true in our pet grooming products. We are lathering this stuff into our dog’s coat and skin, we want it to be something that we feel comfortable about. I have finally found a safe place to land with 4-Legger!
Why They Rock:
The reason 4-Legger exists is truly prenominal. When Melissa, the Owner, was diagnosed with breast cancer, her dog Henry Clay died of cancer. The same day. This broke my heart to hear, but out of trials comes great blessings. Because of her weakend immune system, she had to bathe the dogs regularly. Their skin became DRY and IRRITATED. She realized that a lot of “natural” and “organic” pet shampoos were falsely advertising! They contained terrible ingredients that she couldn’t justify purchasing them anymore.
Grooming products are NOT regulated by the FDA!
So what is a girl to do? Make her own brand! At least, that’s what Melissa did. She wanted to get dog owners the peace of mind she wanted to feel.
As stated on their website, “Through the NOP, all ingredients and products are independently reviewed to ensure compliance with the USDA organic standards – the highest standard a product can achieve.”
What a brand to get behind!
More 4-Legger Benefits:
- USDA Certified Organic (to FOOD standards, wow!!)
- Hypoallergenic (big plus for me!), contains safe and natural essential oils
- No synthetic chemicals
- No detergents
- Cruelty free and VEGAN!
I was able to try the Aloe Vera/Lemongrass Shampoo, the Peppermint/Cedar/Eucalyptus Conditioning Shampoo, and the Nose & Paws Healing Balm. I will put a link on where to buy these products at the bottom of this review. Benji and Milo are not big fans of baths, as many dogs aren’t, but the fact that these products contain safe essential oils seemed to help keep them at ease. Let’s get started!
Milo: “It’s time for a bath! Brother, hold my hand!”
I started off with them both in the bath, obviously. Benji had gotten his hair cut about two weeks prior, so I didn’t want to give him a deep wash too soon. He is prone to allergies, as you know, so I still wanted to really clean those feet and get off dander anyway. Look at that face!
I removed Milo for the next part: official bath time for Benji… dun dun dun…
I turned the water on lukewarm and lathered him up with the Aloe Vera/Lemon Grass Shampoo. He seemed to like the smell, and so did I!
After wards he smelled so good, I was ready to cuddle him all up! I towel dried him, and that was fast because his hair is so short now.
Next up, Milo’s turn! Milo was going to be our deep cleaning tester. He was really due for his bath! I got him in, and he was ready to go…
It takes a while to get Milo wet because he is so thick and fluffy, so after doing this multiple times, it was time to add the shampoo! For Milo, I chose the Conditioning Shampoo with Peppermint/Cedar/Eucalyptus. Again, he seemed to like the smell! It was nice to be able to try the different scents they have in their different products.
I could tell in this part that it was truly natural. It didn’t soap up a lot! That’s because it doesn’t contain any synthetic chemicals that most shampoos contain to create the lather effect. It did the job, and spread through his hair nicely!
I rinsed him off and we went off to blow dry…
I’m kidding… kinda…
HE’S FLUFFY, OKAY?!
Once he was all nice and dry, I wanted to test out the Nose & Paws Healing Balm. This is great if your dog has a dry nose, or cracked paws, or to aide as a preventative. I talked a little about the importance of having a palm salve in my Summer Safety for Dogs post. This is a great addition to my list.
As I put some on his feet, he tried to sneak a taste. I knew there wasn’t anything scary in the ingredients so I didn’t freak out about him licking his nose or paws. What a relief! P.S. It also made my hands smooth. But, you didn’t hear that from me. 😉
Tada! All in all, we loved it. I personally love the smell, the feel, and the ingredients. It’s truly a staple for your doggy household. We hope you enjoyed our little review and bath time!
**SOUND OFF! Tell me in the comments, does YOUR dog enjoy bath time?

I was gifted a Poof Pet Activity Tracker to review, and wow – this is some cool stuff! Read on and check out the bottom of the post for 50% off your very own Poof!
Have you ever used a FitBit for yourself? It’s essentially this, but for your pet. As the photo above states, it tracks their activity by motion, calories burned, sleep schedule, and more! It’s waterproof, has a LONG battery life, and it’s super lightweight so it’s not heavy on your dog (or cats) collar!
There are two shapes to choose from: the Pea, which is a large circle, and the Bean which is a rectangle. I chose the Pea in lime green and this is what it looks like…
I think it looks neat! I just installed the app and got everything started tonight. I used Benji as my subject to test on, and I look forward to seeing how he does! The app is free, and it syncs to your Poof via Bluetooth. The app itself is fun! It’s almost like Instagram in the sense that you can view other pets photos, but also their activity stats. It’s fun and competitive!
There is a whole section for YOUR pet, where you can add the type of pet food they eat, their weight, age, ect. You put all their information in.
It tells you how many calories they should be eating, and how active they should be based on these stats! You select a “score”, which is a number that will be your goal to achieve throughout the day, to get you started. It says that for normal pets it’s about 55-99. It preselected 79 for Benji.
First impressions: I’m very impressed! The app is fun and easy, the Pea was super easy to install, and so far everything looks great. I’ll be doing an update in the coming weeks to show you his stats and how it is going!
It definitely motivates you to reach your goal and it’s great to promote healthy exercise in pets, and even cats can benefit from this product!
If your pet is sleeping longer than normal, this can be a sign of illness, and the Poof will let you know if they are sleeping too much.

I have something very exciting to share with you today. I will be reviewing NomNomNow, which is a slightly cooked, wholesome dog food service delivered straight to your dog.
This is a question I get a lot…
“But…what about COOKED foods?”
I spoke about “Raw vs. Cooked” in a post a few weeks ago, and it got great feedback. A lot of people wanted to know what products were out there for wholesome, fresh dogs foods – besides raw.
I get it – kibble is convenient. That’s why a lot of people still feed dry dog food, so what about the people that don’t have time and aren’t able/don’t want to feed raw? I have something amazing to share with you.
NomNomNow is a fresh dog food delivery service that is both convenient and absolutely fresh. Right now they are beta testing delivery to the East Coast, so I got my 30 days in one delivery, but you can choose to have your meals sent every week or month via auto delivery for the West Coast. You can cancel or change this easily within an allotted time frame on their website.
NomNomNow let me get my hands on their food in exchange for my honest review so I could give you guys a product that fits your needs, and so far – I’m impressed. Like, really!
Registering online was easy peasy – you are asked information about each individual dog you own. This is great because their meals can be portioned to their specific weight needs and activity level!
Milo must have known what I was doing. Check out the excitement on that face!
I put in their information, and automatically got a confirmation email saying my order was received and that they would be working on my meal as well as the date it would be delivered!
I also got an email letting me know when the order shipped, and once it was already delivered – great communication on their end. But, that’s not all!
The first great thing to note is that even though their meals are gently cooked, meaning they aren’t raw, all the essential nutrients aren’t cooked out either because the temperature isn’t high enough. You are able to feed them fresh, wholesome, great quality foods with convenience!
Second thing is that they are pre-portioned to my dog. As I said above, it’s portioned to Benji and Milo’s weight goals and activity levels, and I don’t have to portion it out myself. Each bag fixed per meal!
I decided to go with Porkalicious Potluck for Milo. The ingredients are as follows:
Pork: Protein, Vitamin B6 & minerals
Potatoes: Energy producing & potassium packed
Kale: A superfood for your dog’s diet
Green beans: Fiber, Vitamins A, C, K & minerals galore
Zucchini: Vitamins B6, C & K, magnesium & potassium
Mushrooms: Phosphorus, Potassium, Zinc, Copper & Manganese
NomNomNutrient Mix**: Expertly formulated nutrition blend
Fish oil: Omega Fatty Acids for a healthy coat
For Benji, since he is used to duck and is allergic to beef type products, I decided to go with Tasty Turkey Fare. The ingredients are as follows:
Ground turkey: Excellent source of protein
Brown rice: Carb & mineral morsels to keep up energy
Carrots: Vitamin A – and more – for keeping eyes healthy
Spinach: Full of dietary fiber, vitamins, folate & manganese
Egg: Exactly the protein, calcium, iron & zinc dogs need
NomNomNutrient Mix**: Expertly formulated nutrition blend
Fish oil: Omega Fatty Acids for a healthy coat
Their meals are never pre frozen, and ingredients are sourced from the USA! All of their recipes are formulated by Dr. Justin Shmalberg, Board Certified Veterinary Nutritionist, so you know you are getting a balanced meal!
We got the package and I swear the boys knew what came!
They were so excited to find out their package also included samples of NomNomNow’s other 3 formulas. “More food for me?” Their eyes said.
They had their first pre-portioned package, the 25%, to start their transition. I was curious what Milo would think of the turkey since I know he loves pork, so I tried that for both of them.
Since they are eating raw right now, I was very curious to see how they would react to this food mixed in their regular meals. I know they love raw, but would they eat around the slightly cooked meal? Skip it altogether?
Not a chance!! They gobbled it down, and were searching for more!
I stuck the packages for the next few days in the fridge, put the rest in the freezer and that was that. They are SLIM and super easy to store. They are super sleek, so it fit right in with my other frozen products.
We will be doing another review in 2 weeks to give you an update on the process and how the boys are doing. I’ll be checking their teeth, coats, breath, etc… I want the details, and I’ll share them with you!

We were so excited about this product, and Nifti let us do a review!
Have you ever had a dog leash that’s hard to clasp? Or a dog that pulls so much that the latch opens and the dog ESCAPES? This is where Nifti SafeLatch steps in. They invented a magnetic leash that takes that worry away for you. It’s super easy to put on, and it has a magnet inside that the D ring on your dog’s harness/collar “SNAPS” too!
This is where it connects to the back of the latch, where the magnet is pulling the dogs harness/collar to it!
And voila!! Attach and safe dog walking! 🙂
The SafeLatch was tested to be “escape proof” and it exceeded 660lbs!! There’s no pulling out of this one. Below, Milo is our model to demonstrate. The Nifti SafeLatch Leash is attached to his “EasyWalk” harness, since he does like to pull!
How handsome does he look? Thank you to my sister for modeling her legs so I could take the photos!
I think this leash is a must have for all dog owners that have a habit of escaping or pulling. My only note is that the actual latch is a little heavy so I wouldn’t use on teacup breeds, but small-XL should be totally fine! They have it in blue, pink, neon orange, etc.
Buy your Nifti SafeLatch in various colors:
Let me know in the comments below, does YOUR dog pull on the leash?

Caru Salmon Baked Bites
The boys love food in general, but I haven’t quite seem them as excited about a soft baked treat as I did with this one. Not only are the ingredients guilt free, but I feel good knowing it actually benefits their health to feed it to them! It’s also soft enough to break into smaller pieces for training chews (hello, Milo’s classes!)
As noted on the bag:
- USDA-inspected salmon is the number one ingredient
- Made with real salmon, blueberries & cranberries
- Carefully selected ingredients
- Grain, gluten and wheat free
- No GMO ingredients
- No corn, soy or animal by-products
- Made in the USA from a family-owned company
- Formulated without artificial preservatives, flavors or colors
- Prepared in small batches
This made my heart soar. Eat on, boys!
Choo Choo Chewy’s…
Not only did the boy’s review those tasty treats, but they were eager to participate in this months influencer contest based on crafty things we can do with those Chewy boxes! You know the feeling – when a delivery arrives and EVERYONE know’s its a Chewy box. 😉 How about turning it into a train?
Thanks for coming aboard! We hope to see you next time the Chewy train comes into town.

pooBagger Review – An easier alternative to scooping that dog waste.
Well guys, it was about time that we did a review on something that happens to everyone who owns a dog… picking up doggy drops!
Oh, the fun presents they leave for us…
For those that have a hard time bending over, they made an amazing tool for you! And it’s super easy too. Its called…
The company contacted me and asked if I could review this product, and I didn’t hesitate to say yes!!
I get tired of bending over to pick up the dog poop, or using those “rakes” that everything sticks to and doesn’t really work. We are getting real here, guys!
I wrapped the poop bag that it came with around the white ring, but the white ring is what keeps the bag attached to the “scooper” part. The instructions were VERY easy to follow…
It just clicked on with a SNAP! and then poof – I had a nice pooper scooper with a long handle!
You use the rake on the bottom of the scooper to get between the grass blades and everything goes right into the poop bag attached at the bottom! When you are done, you just snap off the bag, and VOILA!! Toss in the trash. 🙂
Isn’t this neat? I was pretty happy I found it. It worked well! I didn’t want to show photos of me actually picking up the boys’ gifts (sorry, folks!) but the product itself is well made and impressive.
It’s made of polymer composite material, and you can use any dog-poo bags to attach to it! Newspaper bags, you name it. The companies aim is to “reuse and repurpose what is already available in order to minimize landfill usage.”
Now THAT is something I can get behind!

P.L.A.Y Dog Toys – The boys’ give their honest opinion, straight from their mouths!
Lolawawa’s Dog Boutique – The perfect bracelets for #dogmom’s out there. See what charms we looked at!
Disclaimer: We received free product from P.L.A.Y dog toys in exchange for an honest review. I only work with brands that I love and use for my own dogs, and would never recommend something that I don’t believe in. Thank you for your support!
This weekend was a great weekend for the boys. Not only did we have the 4th of July to look forward to, but we received our package of P.L.A.Y dog toys! As excited as I was to show them, I wanted to get an authentic reaction so I did not show the boys until I had my camera out and ready.
Here is what we got…
“MY toy. Don’t touch.”
“Mom… does he have something cooler than me?”
“You mean… there are TREATS in these?! Don’t tell Milo.” Meanwhile, Milo is distracted…
Benji: “Oh no! He found out.” Milo: “Let’s see how far I can stretch my tongue to get these treats!”
“Finally, some peace and quite with my favorite toy!”
Benji: “Actually, I love all the toys!!” Milo: “SQUIRREL!”
“Catch me if you can!!”
In all honesty, I love these toys. They are so cute!
Not only that, but as a #dogmom, it matters to me that we have toys that last long. We’ve had to constantly go through toys, but these seem very durable as they use cross stitching and upon further research, they are also eco friendly! Their toys (and bedding) are filled with “PlanetFill” which is a polyfiber made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic bottles.
Thank you P.L.A.Y for caring about our pups… and our planet.
Wanna get the toys featured in these photos?
Happy Sunday, dog lovers!
I wanted to talk about this amazing boutique I found out about this week. Where have they been all my life? No clue. Better late then never though!
Let me start by saying this post is NOT #ad or sponsored. I love what this company is doing, so I wanted to share their message with you all!
So what is Lolawawa’s? They are a pet boutique that specializes in charm bracelets for dog lovers. So, basically you all need one. They don’t just have bracelets, though. They have shirts, bows, bandanas, collars, anything your heart desires. But alas, their main brand is the bracelet.
I emailed the company asking to get some more information about how they got started. I saw from their website that they donate a portion of the proceeds to charity, so I wanted to learn more about that. You can’t feel guilty about shopping if it helps a good cause, right? 😉
I received a reply from Joey, who owns the company with his mother. Already my heart melted. As quoted per his email, he states:
“My mother and I started this company a little over a year ago with the idea of selling one-of-a-kind products for dogs and dog lovers… to raise money for animal rescue efforts. We offer an assortment of pet products, curated from skilled artisans around the country, as well as an array of unique dog owner products (i.e. Shirts, Mugs, Totes, etc). A portion of our monthly profit is donated to Social Tees Animal Rescue, a not-for-profit based in NYC but with a global footprint. They carry out rescues across the country and internationally.”
What a wonderful effort. Something I also thought was super fun is that they offer a monthly “Charm of The Month” Rescue Club where for $9.99 you get a rescue bangle if you sign up and monthly charms to match. Another cool fact? Members get a LIFETIME member discount card of 20% off all future purchases.
Joey also said that each new charm symbolizes a new contribution to animal rescue efforts, and can be added to the bracelet. They give a portion of their profit from the club to animal rescue as well.
Now THAT is a company I want to support. I already got one for my mother’s birthday. But shh…

I had seen the trailers for this film, but wasn’t really sure 100% what it was about. I didn’t do any research on it before hand, but I knew it was about a dog in the military and that’s all I needed to know.
I was happy I took the jump and saw the film. For those who don’t know, its a movie about a girl (Megan Leavey) and her getting assigned a combat dog (Rex). They will be partners and go to Iraq, he will sniff out bombs and weapons there and she will guide him. Their journey doesn’t start off easy, but how they establish their friendship was adorable.
The film was easy to follow, moved at a nice pace, and featured Tom Felton who was Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter films. He had an American accent, which wasn’t the best but it was a nice surprise to see him in there.
What would I have changed? Megan is said to have a best friend who *SPOILER* died, and this dramatically changes life for her, but we never got to see this said friend nor see any of their bond so it was hard for me to feel sad for her about an unknown face. I get that it wasn’t about that, though.
It definitely sheds light on the amazing work that these working dogs do, and it must not be taken lightly. It also sent a nice message about labeling a dog “aggressive” under the wrong circumstances.
Sometimes all it takes is understanding.
